2. No 9 was the "Old Bath Eye and Ear Infirmary" dated 1837. One storey ashlar articulated by Doric pilasters. Projecting Ionic porch. Balustraded parapet with acroteria and large bust of Aesculapices. Hawthorn Cottage is set back. Plat band sill band, cornice and parapet. 2 storeys. 3 windows, 2 grouped to left, glazing bar sashes.

Nos 1 and 2 Canton Place, Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Walcot Terrace, Hawthorn Cottage and the premises owned by the Salisbury Conservative Club form a group.
