Description

The work on the Birmingham to Preston Motorway (M6), between junctions J13 to J16 started in June 1960 and was carried out by John Laing Construction Ltd. Section C was 5 miles in length between Beech and Keele. The photograph also shows the A519 passing beneath the motorway and the access bridge to Trentham Park in the background.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
