Description

The title identifies the house as built by Lord Burlington between 1725 and 1730 but the drawing shows the modern house, without the Jacobean house or later Palladian wings. The garden also is in the modern arrangement. The drawing is undated but post-dates the modern restoration in the 1950s and 60s. The Visitors Centre is not shown, but this may be deliberate. It is signed P Paullson.
