The Lane Memorial was erected in 1898 in memory of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Lane.

This print is one of 11 images mounted on two sides of a detached album page relating to the fountain and house of Colonel Henry Lane 1827-1895 of Bexhill and must have been taken on or around the depicted fountain unveiling on 25 June 1898.
