Description

Mounted early calotype print of a view up Ludgate Hill towards St Paul's Cathedral showing the Lovegrove Family Hotel, which stood on the corner of Ludgate Hill and Old Bailey. The photographer is unknown. The print is annotated with 'transferred from the library of the RIBA 1936'.

One of the earliest images in the NMR collection, possibly by Fox Talbot.
