Description

Tutsham Oil Mill, also known as West Farleigh Oil Mill, was located on the River Medway, and is thought to have been built circa 1808 as a water powered oil seed cake mill. The mill suffered damage by fire in April 1885, and was not rebuilt.

There are plans, drawings and further information online in the Scientific American Supplement journal, Number 293, 13th August 1881. These show the enlargement of the mill which was carried out in 1881.
