Designed by Owen Luders from 1962 and opened in 1969, this car-park gained iconic status after being featured as a location in the 1971 British gangster movie 'Get Carter' (dir. Mike Hodges). Known locally (and beyond) as 'The Get Carter Car-Park', it was due to be demolished between October and December 2008.
