Photographer's note: 'Birmingham Children'’s Hospital, built as Birmingham General Hospital 1893-1897 by William Henman. Built of brick and terracotta with slate roofs it is laid out on a pavilion plan with a central administrative block and six ward wings projecting from the central corridor.'
