Sixty-eight sheets. A group of forty-one numbered hand-tinted linen-backed paper drawings by Anthony Salvin or his practice mainly of the Officers' Barracks and its stable building at Dover Castle. Most are signed by Salvin and date between May and July 1856; others not signed have been assumed to belong to the group on stylistic and content grounds. Photographic copies have been made from a selection of the originals.
Most of the originals are stored in Secol enclosures.
