A series of twenty sheets relating to proposed schemes for a new custodian's cottage, created between January 1956 and December 1957. Thirteen sheets show plans, section and elevations of the proposed cottage, with seven sheets showing details of kitchen fittings, windows and doors, and water supply.
Fifteen of the sheets were created by the Ministry of Works, with three of them specifically attributed to the Ancient Monuments Drawing Office within the Ministry. The remaining five sheets are likely to have been also created by the Ministry of Works, but as no authorship is indicated on the drawings, their provenance remains unclear.
This is part of the Volume: PF/NOC Norham Castle, Northumberland; within the Series: EHC01/022 English Heritage Plans and Measured Drawings; within the Collection: EHC01 English Heritage(EH):Archive
