Description
This series contains 10 inch x 8 inch black and white film oblique negatives. They have reference numbers with the prefix S-ES and are probably overseas targets taken by Aerofilms or Huntings between 1945 and 1955.
The negatives have a sequence of numbers from S-ES1 to S-ES283 and its from this sequence that the estimated quantity of 283 negatives has been derived. There are gaps in the sequence however, so the actual total is lower.
Further details of the negatives may be recorded in item 70 on the register handlist (AFL03/03) which records details of overseas work done by Aerofilms and Huntings.
