Description

This series comprises half plate glass and film negatives, mostly of architectural subjects, notably English Cathedrals (which were published by Pitkin Press in their series of the same name), including Lincoln, Ely, Worcester, Canterbury, Hereford, Gloucester, St Albans, Winchester, and Salisbury. There are views of St John's College, Cambridge and All Souls College, Oxford, as well as commissioned photography of schools in Malvern and Rickmansworth, Saffron Walden teacher training college, the British Ekta textile factory in Aintree, the Royal Festival Hall (including views of agricultural displays in a Festival of Britain pavilion) and the Sir John Soane Museum.
