In January 2002 and February 2002 English Heritage survey staff in Cambridge carried out field survey and analysis of the earthworks of Framlingham Castle. The survey was requested by John Ette, EH Inspector of Guardianship Monuments, East of England Region, as part of the Conservation Plan for the castle, which was being produced by the Oxford Archaeological Unit.
