Description

A file containing 6 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Potter Street, Bishop's Stortford. Known as Woolworths store number 316, this was the three-hundred and sixteenth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1928. The store originally opened at 23 Potter Street and later extended to 19-23 Potter Street. In 1978 the store moved to 17-21 Potter Street. By the time the store closed in January 2009, it had been extended to 11-21 Potter Street.
