Landscape Advice Note: Examples of post 1945 Designed Landscapes included on the Register of Parks and Gardens

By Felix Mayle, Jenifer White, Paul Stamper

Garden historians and students have expressed an interest in how late 20th century designed landscape is covered by the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Interest in England. Late 20th century heritage was also one of the priorities identified in English Heritage's National Heritage Protection Plan (NHPP) 2011-2015.

This Landscape Advice Note provides a list of the notable examples of designed landscapes dating from 1945 and illustrates the range of landscape types.
