This project was undertaken by Oxford Archaeology on behalf of English Heritage (now Historic England) and contributed towards the understanding of ploughzone archaeology within Activity 4G2 of the National Heritage Protection Plan. It looked at how ploughzone archaeology is recorded in local Historic Environment Records (HERs) examining information from seven HERs, and identified strengths, weakness and recommended possible improvements.
