Roman Catholic Church of St Willibrords, North Road, Clayton - Manchester

Built 1937-38, notable for its external brick massing and the impressive character of its Byzantine style domed interiors and mosaic scheme. Now suffering from water ingress at roof and parapet level, causing the deterioration of the reinforced concrete structure and decorative finishes, including the mosaics. Embedded ironwork above openings is also causing masonry damage in multiple locations. A Minor Repair Grant from the Taylor Review Pilot was received in 2019 to help repair rainwater goods and roof slates and further funding bids for repair works are planned.
