Oak House, Oak Road, West Bromwich, Sandwell. B70 8HJ - Sandwell

Timber frame house, now museum, late C16. Two storeys with attic, with three jettied gables with oriel windows. Jettied and gabled porch and an early C17 prospect tower on the roof. Brick additions to the southwest and rear of the building with twin Dutch gables and terracotta tiled roof. The building was altered significantly during Victorian times and previous repairs have created issues and water penetration. Structural repairs to the dragon beam and the Laundry have been completed with an Historic England grant but further repairs are necessary to the Prospect Tower and timber frame.
