Seaton Delaval, Seaton Valley - Northumberland (UA)

Remains of an early C18 park and garden, partially restored in the 1950s-60s. The house and landscape designs are attributed to Sir John Vanbrugh in 1719. The approach avenue is deteriorating, and woodland regeneration is concealing key landscape features, including earthworks and the mausoleum. A Conservation Management Plan has been produced. The site was awarded a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant in 2016 and major conservation and repair works have now been completed. A Historic England Repair Grant has resulted in repairs to the ha-ha walls and corner bastion enclosing the churchyard.
