Former Weedon Barracks, Outer Walls to Magazine Enclosure, Bridge Street, Weedon Bec - West Northamptonshire (UA)
Defensive walls with lean-to structures at east and west end of enclosure, early C19. Red brick in Flemish style with intermediate piers. Part of an extraordinary Napoleonic military complex. Brickwork is in poor condition; both lean-to structures have suffered partial collapse. Vegetation is damaging the brickwork further. The site has been underused for many years and was left in a poor condition. The magazine enclosure is now in the same ownership as the adjacent depot enclosure. Historic England grant-aided repairs of the Depot's north east bastion completed in 2023.
