The east Rope Walk, at Job Gould's West of England Twine Works, East Street, West Coker - Somerset Council (UA)
Early C19 Rope walk. Extremely long (97 metres) building of three-storeys, partly open at ground floor level, oak trusses with weatherboarding and windows along the east and west; later brick southern end; undulating double roman clay tile roof, five ropewalks on two levels, some original machinery. The building is fragile, roof has been patched but battens have slipped in numerous places allowing in water; trusses fractured and structure under stress. Historic England grant-aided works to support the structure in 2016 and since 2020 the building is being gradually repaired by a new owner.
