Former Church of St Bartholomew, Village Street, Covenham St. Bartholomew - East Lindsey
Former church, late C14 - early C15 of chalk and greenstone with brick patching. St Bartholomew's is the earlier of two village churches and may have served as a pre-Conquest minster church. Restored 1854-5 and 1863-4. Roofs leak and rainwater goods and drains are largely ineffective. There is damp, water ingress and structural movement. Trustees secured Historic England Covid 19 Emergency Heritage at Risk funds in 2020 to address some urgent structural repairs and to re-roof the south transept. Historic England awarded further funds in 2022 to explore broader repair needs.
