GREETWELL GREETWELL LANE TF 07 SW (west side) 3/41 Greetwell Lodge and wall with gate piers. G.V. II
Lodge and wall with gate piers. 1856. Coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, limestone ashlar. Slate roofs with stone coped gables and finials. Single quadripartite ridge stack and single projecting lateral stack. 2 storey, 4 bay east front with plinth. Doorway to left with gabled porch open to east and south with stone piers and pilasters, moulded bases, four centred east opening, with upper pointed head and foliate and floral decoration in between. 2 gabled bays to right with 2 pointed sashes with margin lights, rectangular hood moulds with foliate and floral decoration in between head and hood mould. Similar pointed window to left of porch with margin lights, rectangular hood mould and decoration. 2 narrow pointed sashes above to right, both with margin lights. Panel inscribed with date "1856" in gable above. South side with 2 bays. Gabled bay to right with rectangular bay window with 2 pointed lights, flanked by single pointed lights all with margin light sashes. Pair of pointed lights above with margin light sashes, rectangular hood mould, foliate and floral decoration in between and plaque with coat of arms in gable. Large projecting stack to left. Garden wall with 4 tall piers and 2 small piers flanking double wooden gates, linking walls with iron railings. Each pier with base and moulded ashlar cap.
