House. c.1840. Stucco with slate roof. 3 storeys, 3 x 2
bays. Rusticated ground floor, 1st floor sill course; top
frieze and deep,boxed eaves on brackets; 1st floor has
rusticated quoins. Windows have architraves, those to ground
floor have stucco flat arches and casements, those to 1st
floor have triple keystones and are sashed with glazing
bars. Central enclosed porch has frieze, modillioned cornice
and pierced parapet. Round-headed entrance flanked by
niches, all with archivolts; return has similar windows.
Left return faces the road, 2nd bay projects under pediment
and has projecting tripartite window with segmental heads;
modillioned cornice and pierced balcony to 1st floor window.
1st bay has no rustication; 1st and 2nd floor windows in
round-headed recess with archivolt and triple keystone;
recessed panel between. Window above has eared architrave.
The most intact villa in Fairfield Crescent.
