DEAL 1. 5275 VICTORIA ROAD (West Side) No. 11 (Woodbine Cottage) TR 35 SE SP/492 II GV 2. Cottage, with later addition. Earlier C19; L-shaped, comprising two parallel ranges with single storey rear wings. Front elevation faced with wood blocks to resemble ashlar. Slate hipped roof with red tile ridges. Two storeys. Two bays. On ground floor, left hand mid-C19 bay window with stained glass margin lights to contemporary French casements. To right hand, later porch in front of original doorway retaining fluted quarter columns with caps from doorcase,six panel door with four stained glass upper panes and two panes deep and wide overlight with margin lights. On first floor, two sash windows with glazing bars and louvred shutters. Tall, post-7872, two storey, one bay wing at N. end of E. elevation with full-height canted bay window of three-lights. Interior of cottage: east ground floor room with reeded architrave frames with angle blocks to bay window, doorway to hall,and interconnecting rear doors; C19 marble fireplace surround. Door to rear room from hall also with angle blocks. Hall and landing panelling, panelled doors and straight baluster stairs. Doorways on landing and S.E. first floor fireplace surround with moulded architrave and angle blocks. Wings corresponding in plan with cottage and rear wings shown on Tithe Plan of 1843.
