Details
TR 03 SE BONNINGTON 7/79 The Old Oak II Inn, now public house. Mid C18. Painted ragstone and red and blue brick in gables with plain tiled roof. Two parallel ranges. Two storeys and attic with brick quoins and brick dentil eaves cornice to roof with stacks to left and to right and with 3 hipped dormers. Regular fenestration of 3 Cl9 sashes with vertical glazing bars on 1st floor (narrower to centre) and paired Cl9 sashes on ground floor with cambered heads. Central boarded door with flat hood on brackets. Cantilevered wooden sign beam to top right. Left return with S-ties. Interior: half-round fireplace with semi-circular projecting grate. Fitted cupboards with butterfly hinges. Newel stair in upper floor. Chamfered softwood ceiling joists throughout. Formerly the Royal Oak Inn.
