4/43 Farleton House 21.11.52 G.V. II

House. Reset tablet with initials and date TCA 1712 MC on extension to rear. Probably late C17 or early C18 (R.C.H.M.) modernised and extended to rear in C19, roof raised probably at same time. Roughcast render over rubble; graduated greenslate roof with stone ridge. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Central C20 top-glazed door in corniced moulded surround flanked by paired sashes in plain stone surrounds; single sash flanked by paired sashes above. End chimneys; copings and kneelers. Interior not inspected but said by R.C.H.M. to have original staircase with turned balusters and square newels with ball terminals. (See RCHM p.95).
