Details

PAINSWICK GREENHOUSE LANE SO 8609/8709 (off west side) 7/112 Brooklands Close II Detached house. C17. Squared and coursed limestone rubble, concrete tile roof. A 3-storey gabled unit with, to left, a lower 1½ storey cross-gabled wing, and an attached flat roofed extension which is not of special interest. The cross-gable has a 2-light recessed chamfer stone mullioned casement with hood over a steel French door; main gable, right has similar 2-light casements at 3 levels. Right return is 3 windowed: at ground floor a 2-light and door to a common stepped hood, and a further 2-light. At first floor two 2-lights with hoods, central bay blank, and to eaves are three 2-light, all of these recessed chamfer-mullion stone casements. Front away from stream has 2-light casement over a plain oculus and a large brick stack; in the small cross-gable a 2 over a 3-light, and a single light, formerly a doorway. The interior has been substantially modified, but there are some beams to run-out stops.
