BROBURY CP - SO 34 SW 5/43 Bredwardine Bridge (that part in Brobury CP) 20.2.53 - II

Bridge. C18 with later alterations. Brick with sandstone dressings. Aligned west-north-west/east-south-east, the south-east end curving away to the east. 1:4:1 semi-circular headed arches. Outer pair of arches are lower. Each arch has a prospecting sandstone keystone. Flat sandstone coping to parapet beneath which is a three-course projecting brick string. Four cutwaters to each side, stone dressed to base on upstream side and rising to brick broaches at spring- ing level of arches. Two refuges to each side. The other part of the bridge is listed in Bredwardine CP. (South Herefordshire District).
