4/71 Churchyard cross-base, - 20m south-west of Church of St. Ethelbert
GV II
Cross-base and lower part of shaft, probably C15. Limestone. Octagonal base of about 0.8m across, the upper part with deep chamfer and the lower part reducing to square plan by means of heavy chamfer stops at ground level. Oblong tapering shaft with inset moulded pilasters at each corner. On two sides are slots for horizontal members. About 1.5m above ground level the shaft becomes badly damaged, and has been broken off in antiquity.
