Farmhouse. Mid-late C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Red-brown brick in
English garden wall bond (4:1) with pantile roof. 2 storeys with loft, 3 bays,
with central 3-bay rear wing, formerly 1-storeyed but raised to 2 storeys C19.
Garden front: central door of 6 fielded panels with overlight and wooden architrave.
C20 cross-casement windows with concrete sills and the heads of
stretcher bricks. 1st floor band of 3 stepped courses. Eaves band. Raised
verges with brick kneelers. End stacks. Rear: main range, blocked central
1st-floor window opening with Yorkshire Insurance fire insurance plaque to its
right; tabled dentilled eaves. Wing: ground floor of C18 brick; inserted
garage door to left bay, board door in wood surround with 12-pane side-sliding
sash to right, and to left on 1st floor 4-pane sashes in flush wood surrounds;
dentilled eaves; raised verge; outbuilding attached to end of wing not of
special interest. Interior: red and black tile floor to hall; doors and architrave
soffits panelled; large-scantling chamfered spine beams; dog-leg stair;
blocked pigeon holes to loft gables; large corniced fireplace in wing.
