SJ3197NE MARINE CRESCENT 778-1/8/78 (North East side) 16/08/72 No.13 (Formerly Listed as: MARINE CRESCENT Nos.1-16 AND 16A-32 (Consecutive))
GV II
House, forming part of terraced row; with attached verandah. c1826-30; altered. Painted stucco, slate roof with stuccoed chimney to left. Double-depth single-fronted plan with back extension. 2 storeys and 1 window; moulded gutter cornice carried round oriel window. Two-bay verandah with "turned" columns, ornamental cast-iron fringe, moulded gutter cornice and shallow lead-clad roof. The ground floor has a square-headed doorway to the right with plain overlight, and a large canted bay window with 4-pane sashed glazing; the 1st floor has a smaller canted oriel above this, sashed without glazing bars. INTERIOR: not inspected. Adjoins No.12 to the right (qv) and No.14 to the left (qv). All the listed buildings in Marine Crescent, together with those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine Terrace, form a group in the Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
