Pair of cottages. Late C18/early C19. Chevron dressed sanstone; clay pantiles to No. 70, late C20 interlocking clay tile roof to No. 72; brick stacks to gables. 2 storeys. 2 windows to each floor, all altered/enlarged. Doorways, to L.H.S. of each cottage. 6-panelled door to No 70. Upper part of pointed arched window tracery (probably from the ruins of St. Mary's Priory) let into wall above doorway of No.72. Included for group value with Nos. 46 to 52 (evens), and No. 76 Church Street.
