House and former stables. Mid C17 with C18 and C19 extensions; 1920's
alterations. Painted roughcast walls, under graduated greenslate roof with
large square C17 stone chimney stack and roughcast chimney stack on extension.
2 storeys, 4 bays with former stable to right now forming integral part of house
under common roof; lower 2-storey, 2-bay left rear extension, forming overall
L-shape. Gabled stone porch has C20 door with flanking small side lights. C20
verandah between porch and right-angled shippon. C20 canted-bay oriel windows
flank 2 casement windows in open reveals. 2 gabled dormer windows. Extension
has 4-panel door in plain opening. Large C20 bay window under sash windows with
glazing bars in plain reveals. Interior of original house had a court cupboard
with C17 date, which was removed as rotten in C20. Built-in cupboard in
extension has inscription and date R.I.B. 1726.
