GV II

House, now hotel. Early to mid C19. Stucco with hipped slate roofs. 2 storeys, 3 bays, the central bay canted with gablet; returns have recessed one-storey bays; further 2-storey gabled wings to rear, flanking yard. Decorative barge boards to gables; cartouche to central gablet. 3-bay centre has iron verandah with round columns and scrollwork above cambered heads; enriched balustrade. Windows have label moulds, ground floor has French windows with glazing bars and margin lights; 1st floor has single-bar sashes flanking C20 French window. Gabled wings have narrow lights with small-paned fixed glazing with margin lights, wing to left has square lights to ground floor. Central round-headed entrance has panelled pilasters, fanlight and glazed doors with margin lights; inner doors have painted glass panels with red flashed and etched margins. Wings have round-headed entrances with blocked fanlights. Gable-end stacks, including one to gablet and return lateral stacks to centre and flanking bays, all with octagonal shafts. Rear windows have small-paned casements and central round-headed stair window with small-paned fixed glazing and etched glass. Lean-to verandahs to re-entrant angles, some small-paned glazing.
