Manor House. Early C18. Coursed squared ironstone, C20 plain-tile roof with
ornamental ridge tiles, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan with central staircase. 2
storeys and attic; 5-window range. Main front to street has 2-iight leaded
casement windows to ground and 1st floors, one with original small crown glass
panes. Central 1st floor window blocked, that to left a dummy window. All have
flat-arched heads, those to ground floor with raised key blocks. Chartered
plinth, quoins, storey band and stone-coped gables with kneelers; 2 horizontal
keyed oval windows in right gable. Central door to rear, 6-panelled, part-glazed
with straight hood on brackets. 1-storey-and-attic wing to right, set-back, and
to rear right, Interior has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, open fireplace in
kitchen with stop-chamfered bressumer, another large open fireplace, partly
blocked with chamfered stone jamb and stop-chamfered bressumer, and 2 large
bolection-moulded stone fireplaces with moulded stone mantels. Dog-leg staircase
from ground floor to attic.
