Lodge. Mid C19. Architect, John George Jackson, of Leamington.
Pinkish-brown brick, with scored stucco facades, some painted,
ashlar dressings and plain tile roof.
STYLE: old English style.
PLAN: cross-shaped.
EXTERIOR: single-storey, 3-window range. Entrance to left side
of projecting, solid porch: 4 steps to 4-centred arch with
moulded surround, solid baluster to side of steps with
octagonal post and ball finial.
Within porch a part-glazed, long-panel, 4-centre-arched door
in double-chamfered surround; decorative tile floor.
To front of porch a narrow, fixed-light window with chamfered
surround and sill and hollow-moulded hood. Gable to porch has
decorative bargeboards.
To left a fixed-light window with chamfered surround and sill.
To right a canted bay of two 2/4 fixed-light casements with
mullion between, between 2/4 lights.
4 pairs of tall, ornamental ridge stacks, decorative ridge
tiles, fish-scale roof tiles.
To left return a rectangular bay with three 2/4 fixed-light
'mullion' windows with 1/2 lights to sides, chamfered sill. To
right return, triple 1/2 fixed-light 'mullion' window,
chamfered surround and sill, hollow-moulded hood, gable has
bargeboards with modillions.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Included as part of a significant planned urban park.
