The West Tower Roof, St Catherine’s Church, Ludham, Norfolk : Tree-Ring Analysis of Timbers

Dendrochronological analysis was undertaken on samples taken from oak timbers of this roof, resulting in the construction of two site sequences. The first, LUDASQ01, of 78 rings, contains three samples. The second, LUDASQ02, of 61 rings, contains two samples. Neither of these sequences could be matched to any reference chronology. Attempts to individually date the two ungrouped samples were also unsuccessful, and all samples remain undated.
