ANIMAL BONES SCANNED FROM LIKELY STREET CONTEXTS ON SITE SOU 258 (HAMWIC SIX DIALS EXCAVATIONS, SOUTHAMPTON)

Author(s): J Bourdillon

An earlier report (57/86) distinguished various types of animal bone assemblages from street contexts in Saxon Southampton. The typology has been refined in a study of some 7,000 further fragments of bone, and it is used to aid the discussion of site formation processes on and around the streets found on the Six Dials site SOU 258.
