TREE-RING ANALYSIS OF TIMBERS FROM CHIGBRORUGH FARM, ESSEX

Author(s): J Hillam

Tree-ring analysis of seven oak samples from a Roman well produced no dates because the timbers had insufficient rings. Two out of three samples from an Iron Age structure were also unsuitable for dating; the 68-year ring sequence from the third remains undated because of lack of suitable reference chronologies.
