HIGH PARK, LANCASHIRE and COW CLOSE, CUMBRIA

This report presents the results of archaeological survey work carried out by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (RCHME) on approximately 1 square kilometre of this relict landscape at High Park - part of the Fairthwaite Park Farm estate in north-east Lancashire - plus an adjoining field belonging to Ciowrey Farm in Cumbria. The survey was undertaken for management purposes, largely at the request of Lancashire County Council Planning Department.
