The aim of this project was to contribute to the Dorset Coast Strategy and this report presents a summary of the quantity and coverage of data relating to the Survey Area. The project was initiated on the 12th September 2003. This report fulfils project milestone M6: Submit project report and marks the end of Phase I. This report reviews the methodology and results of Phase I and includes both proposals for Phase II: Field Assessment and a draft Research Framework based upon an interpretative overview of the historic environment of the Dorset coast.
