TREE-RING DATING OF TWO TIMBER POSTS FROM WIGAN, 1984.

Tree-ring analysis of two oak timbers from a well uncov-ered during the excavations at Wigan during 1984, resulted in a tree-ring sequence dating to the period AD 1029 - 1205. The timbers were probably felled after AD 1215.
