TREE-RING ANALYSIS OF OAK TIMBERS FROM STRAY FARM, HOLME-ON-SPALDING MOOR, EAST YORKSHIRE.

Author(s): J Hillam

Six oak timbers from a medieval bridge structure at Stray Farm were taken for tree-ring dating. Five of them were unsuitable since they had less than 50 rings. The ring sequence of the sixth timber was dated to 1089-1153. The timber was probably felled after 1163, and possibly beforee 1209.
