Earthworks at Buildwas Abbey, Shropshire

In January-February 2001 English Heritage undertook a Level 2 archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of Buildwas Abbey and its surroundings in advance of production of a new guidebook to the monument. The investigation covered the medieval remains, later garden earthworks, water meadows and features from the Second World War. (This report was originally numbered 9/2002 in the Archaeological Investigation Series.)
