Crowcombe Combe Gate, Over Stowey, Somerset

The Earthworks at Crowcombe Combe Gate, previously interpreted as a prehistoric settlement, have been identified as the site of search light position dating from the Second World War. Two small prehistoric cairns have been identified and a large Bronze Age cairn has been located close to the searchlight position.
