TREE-RING ANALYSIS OF TIMBERS FROM ALL SAINTS CHURCH, HEREFORD, HEREFORD AND WORCESTER

Author(s): Ian Tyers

Dendrochronological analysis of timbers from the roof of the south chapel of All Saints Church, Hereford, produced a short replicated tree-ring sequence that could not be dated to any available reference chronology. Samples were also taken from a redundant bellframe in the spire, as well as from some supporting beams from an intermediate floor in the spire. No dates were obtained for either of these structures.
