BROUGH ST GILES, N YORKS. REPORT ON GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY, 1988

Author(s): Paul Linford, Andrew David

This report describes the results of resistivity and magnetometer surveys over the remains of a medieval hospital now being damaged by river erosion. Some evidence for the presence of former buildings was found, especially by the resistivity survey, but their definition was not particularly clear. Some other anomalies from both sets of data may be of archaeological origin, although there is disturbance from surface effects and modern pipe trenches.
