EXAMINATION AND ANALYSIS OF FIRED CLAY FROM HIGHSTEAD, KENT.

Author(s): M P Heyworth

Fragments of fired clay thought to be associated with production of salt were examined and analysed. The white surface on the clay contained higher levels ofcalcium and strontium and is likely to have been caused by iron depletion and enhancement of the soluble salts due to its use in salt production.
