MOULD FRAGMENTS FROM HUNTER'S WALK, CHESTER, CHESHIRE.

Fragments of clay mould from medieval contexts were examined. The mould was probably used for the casting of a large vessel such as a mortar which were common in the medieval period. Fragments of corroded copper alloy found on the mould edges were shown to be bronze.
